Sheri Larson

(Executive Director)

Since 2018, I have been the Executive Director for Moorhead Business Association. The mission is to promote and support the growth and success of the members in the Greater Moorhead Area. MBA fosters a thriving business community through networking opportunities, advocacy, events as well as providing the resources businesses need to succeed. Love being able to bring members together and share their story.

In 2022, the Moorhead City Council recognized the Moorhead Business Association with the MoorHeart Award. Thank you to the nominee that was quoted “ A true treasure to Moorhead in promoting our wonderful city. We appreciate all they have done to promote our community and keep Moorhead strong.  We LOVE 56560!" In 2023, I nominated for the YWCA Women of the Year, being recognized as a cheerleader for the business owners in & around Moorhead.

My husband and I have lived in Moorhead for more than 45 years. We raised our children as Moorhead Spuds being active in the Moorhead Spud Booster Club and their activities. "Once a Spud, always a Spud." We are very fortunate to have our two granddaughters living close to us. As a family, we enjoy our time on the lake during the summer. Spending time with family and friends that makes you laugh and feel loved is so important!

Alisha Nelson

(Assistant Director)

Alisha has been the Assistant Director for the Moorhead Business Association since May 2022.When COVID hit in 2020, Alisha was working for a company that belonged to the MBA but unfortunately shut down due to the pandemic. Being a part of the MBA as a Moorhead business, she was able to experience the benefits, support, and advocacy it provided. When the position came available, she couldn't think of a better job that aligned with her passions of people, small business, and supporting local.

Marketing has been a part of her life in some capacity since 2012, with a strong background in events and social media. She has also been involved in the service industry since 2003, finding that it fills her cup because she can stay active, be social, and meet new people. Shes a complete extrovert! When she's not working, she's traveling every chance. From oceans to mountains and everything in between, Alisha is the most herself out in nature, seeing the world and immersing herself in different cultures.

In Alisha's world, there is no time for sleep. There are too many things to do, places to see, people to meet, and experiences to create... which is why she adopted her "YES" mentality. Her theory is that even if she doesn't want to do something, or is tired, or is afraid... she says YES 9 times out of 10 and it has made her life so much more fun, fulfilled, exciting, and albeit exhausting, she wouldn't have it any other way!
